Condensation can lead to mold, mildew, and a whole lot of headaches if you’re not careful. The good news? A little bit of prevention goes a long way! Here are some easy ways to keep your nuCamp RV dry and comfortable, whether you’re out adventuring or storing it for the season.

1. Crack Those Windows (When You Can!)

Did you know your nuCamp windows have a built-in ventilation mode? Keeping them in this position helps air circulate while still keeping things secure.

Use the first slot on the window latch for ventilation mode—the outermost catch fully closes it.

If you lower the blinds while in ventilation mode, leave a small section of the screen open for airflow.

Try not to keep shades drawn for long periods, as it can mess with their shape. Always retract them when storing or traveling.

Most important: Before you hit the road, make sure all windows are fully closed to prevent damage!

2. Run That Roof Vent Fan

Even at a low speed, your roof vent fan keeps air moving and helps prevent moisture buildup inside your camper. Open up that vent and let it do its thing!

3. Let Your Mattress Breathe

Ever notice moisture under your mattress after a long trip? That’s because airflow is key to keeping things dry.

If you have the Froli Sleep System, it naturally keeps your mattress ventilated.

When storing your RV, consider propping up the mattress or moving it somewhere with better airflow to avoid mold and mildew.

4. Don’t Forget About Your Fridge

Before storing your RV long-term, turn off the fridge and switch it to ventilation mode.

Most fridges have a slider that keeps the door slightly open, preventing mold and mildew from taking over.

Before you hit the road again, switch it back to lock mode so it stays shut while driving.

5. Storing Your Camper with Shore Power?

If you have shore power while storing your RV, you have a couple of good options:

Keep the windows in ventilation mode and run the roof vent fan to keep air moving.

Or, keep the windows closed and use a dehumidifier to pull excess moisture from the air. Just be sure to check and empty it regularly!

6. No Shore Power? No Problem!

If you’re storing your RV without power, here’s how to keep it dry:

Close all windows tightly to keep outside moisture from creeping in.

Use moisture absorbers like DampRid to help prevent condensation buildup.

Stay Dry and Adventure On!

A little bit of prevention makes a huge difference when it comes to keeping your nuCamp RV fresh and mold-free. Follow these tips, and you’ll have a dry, cozy camper ready to roll whenever adventure calls.

Got questions? Our support team is happy to help!
